Dr. James Okorie Chukwu is a petroleum engineer with over two decades of specialist experience in reservoir engineering, Enhanced Oil Recovery, formation damage analysis, and well intervention. He has delivered consultancy and training across Nigeria, Venezuela, Colombia, the USA, and the Middle East.
Kokori Field Studies
Led detailed reservoir characterisation and production optimisation studies for the Kokori oil field in the Niger Delta, integrating core analysis, well log interpretation and dynamic simulation.
Afiesere-Orogun Low-Salinity EOR (Phase I)
Conducted comprehensive low-salinity waterflooding studies at the Afiesere-Orogun field, evaluating wettability alteration mechanisms and incremental recovery potential.
Afiesere-Orogun Low-Salinity EOR (Phase II)
Extended Phase I findings into field-scale pilot design, including injection water chemistry optimisation, pattern selection and expected recovery forecasting.
Water Production Control Analysis
Developed water shut-off strategies for high water-cut producers using near-wellbore diagnosis, conformance polymer treatments and production data analytics.
